19th October 2010 - Mobile Commerce brings Thomson Local app to the iPhone

Mobile Commerce, the UK’s leading provider of location-based services (LBS) and mobile content integration, has partnered with ThomsonLocal.com, the local business search company, to deliver the ThomsonLocal.com app for the iPhone.

The app allows the user to access ThomsonLocal.com’s database of over 1.8 million businesses, the most comprehensive of its kind in the UK, in an experience Mobile Commerce has tailor made for the iPhone. It delivers detailed information for each business, along with ThomsonLocal.com’s additional information, including ratings and reviews.

Users can select from the most popular categories or search for information on any business near their location or any where in the UK. Results can then be displayed as a list or on a map, and the user can rate and review any business they choose.

The app allows key actions to be carried out, specifically for the iPhone, such as ‘Click-to-Call’ ‘Add Business as a Contact’ and send email. Recent searches are also saved for repeat use.
