The AA Lifestyle Guides (iPhone, iPad, Android & HP TouchPad)
A series of find nearest apps covering over 14,000 AA Recommend listings which allows the user to view results as a list or on a map as well as filtering search results by a range of criteria such as; rating, pets welcome, Wi-Fi, gym, children welcome, food available, or simply shake the handset for random results (iPhone). The apps also feature full integration with Google maps & directions. On iPhone/iPad/HP TouchPad all listings content is hosted in the app, on Android there is a mixture of some content hosted in the app and some retrieved dynamically using a live feed at time of search.
- The AA Guides on iPhone have had well over 500,000 downloads.
- The ‘AA Bed & Breakfast Guide’ was featured in ‘The Top 500 Apps In The World’ published by The Sunday Times on 20th February 2011.
- The ‘AA Best of Britain’ app was featured in one of Apple’s major print promotions last year.
